A Rush of Temper

For a party whose rule has seen the biggest federal deficit in US history, the Republican Party throwing a temper tantrum on the Economic Stimulus Package has many of us wondering if it’s true that Rush Limbaugh is now in charge.

Much like a narcotic induced nightmare with comic relief to keep us interested, the tattle-tale actions of John Boehner (how is that possibly pronounced Bay-nor???) saying the Senate isn’t playing nice like President Obama told them to, is enough for even the meekest American to shout “Grow a Pair!!!!”

Then you have Eric Cantor, the minority whip who won’t stop whining that the US is facing a crisis. Mr. Cantor, where were you during the last eight years when this crisis was building? You were backing your party by denying that it was happening, of course. And now that you have to face reality, you’ve decided that the best way to rebuild the economy is to follow the same practices that brought us down.

Stamping their feet, the GOP is saying that the Stimulus Package won’t work, and that it’s not a bi-partisan effort. I agree. There is a difference between working together and kissing ass. How much more do we have to watch until someone stands up and says that the bill doesn’t need the blessing of House Republicans?
